Valentine’s Day: Hear me out!

The trend has died down if not out. I figured it’d be a good chance to toss out some past crushes. Cause today of all days, if you’re lonely and are down that bad for some interactions. You can check some of the suggestions from this related article. If date sims don’t cut it, you can always find that special someone elsewhere. We all know it’s a rough field to have any reason not to find an interest in a character from video games. 90% of the time character designs are aimed at being appealing. So here are some of my obvious hear me out’s!

GLaDOS

Hear me out, she starts as such a nice friend. I think she’s probably one of the best tsundere characters. She builds you up and wants you to better yourself. Anytime you feel like she’s warming up to you, she drops a quirky remark to bring you back into focus. You don’t have a chance to learn too much about her from her first appearance in Portal. Portal 2, is where we explore her deeper and manage to finally have an understanding of her past and who she was even before becoming a super AI. If you weren’t interested through the first, the second will greatly influence your consideration to swoon her.

Birdo

Hear me out…I know originally, it was written “thinks he is a girl” and would prefer to be called Birdetta.” When you’re a kid though, did you read the manuals? That was back on Mario Bros 2. Since then, she’s been featured in a lot of other titles. Becoming a playable character in a majority of the Nintendo titles. I think I heard she has new lore behind her, like the diamond ring on her hand in the picture. Which some have said is from Yoshi. I haven’t seen or found the official lore saying that Yoshi and Birdo have a real relationship. So I feel like it’s fair that I give her a call.

Wendy O. Koopa

Hear me out, Nintendo was obviously where it all started for some of us. So don’t judge my choices too much. Cause, of course, I had to include Wendy. She was introduced to Super Mario Bros 3 with her other siblings. Became animated in the show. And has repeatedly shown up in other titles. Like GLaDOS, this is probably one of the early examples of a tsundere character. She was bossy had a short temper, and only wanted the best. Most of the interest and definition of her character was seen through the show. The game didn’t give her too much background at the time. She still holds up to this day for me.

Wuk Lamat

Hear me out on this one. Final Fantasy XIV has a lot of great characters, not to mention the player’s creations. It was between the original muscle mommy Merlwyb and Wuk. It might’ve been the overall adventures and experiences together during the start of Dawntrail. That made me take notice of her appeal. She’s a precious and innocent character that you want to protect. It’s just not an absolute need, as she’s more than capable of handling most situations herself. It doesn’t end there though for me. I’ve gained a strong interest in any of the female Hrothgar’s thanks to this new crush.

Ditto

Hear me out on this last one alright? It’s a ditto. You have to admit where is the limit of its transformation?! I don’t have much more of an argument on this but I believe it could get super freaky.

As mentioned at the start, game characters are created to have appeal. So it’s easy to be like, wow that character is beautiful or handsome. I would do this and that to them so easily. There are a lot of in-between choices though. I figured I’d try and dig deep down the vault of memories to try and remember some of those earlier choices.
