Free-to-Play Survival Monster Hunter Outlanders Announced
A brand new Monster Hunter mobile game is under development by Capcom and TiMi Studio Group, the developer behind Age of Empires Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Pokémon Unite. This game is titled Monster Hunter Outlanders. They are saying that this title is supposed to be a “new, fully-featured game” coming to the Monster Hunter series, but to the mobile market. With multiplayer hunts, and expansive exploration even. It will be free-to-play and feature in-app purchases from what i’m gathering.
The trailer (shown below), shows off some of what the fans and players can expect from this new mobile release. It promises an open-world with some familiar monsters already showcased in this short teaser trailer for the game like Anjanath and Great Jagras from Monster Hunter World. Hopefully even some new monsters even. Monster Hunter Outlanders appears to have multiple biomes, and has a glider similar to ones shown in other recent games as of the last couple years, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Palia for a couple examples. The game features pretty impressive graphics for it being a mobile game, we’ll see how that pans out and how laggy the game is or is not on release.
“It’s time for mobile players to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming,” TiMi Studio Group producer Dong Huang says. “Monster Hunter Outlanders not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but it does it in a massive open world featuring the community and social systems players are looking for today.”

This is a new mobile game for the Monster Hunter Series, but it isn’t their only mobile title, Monster Hunter Outlanders does seem to be more of a traditional Monster Hunter title opposed to Monster Hunter Now or Monster Hunter Puzzles Felyne Isles which are both very different styles of games.
Monster Hunter Outlanders does not yet have a release date, but TiMi Studio Group says they plan to conduct several playtests in advance to the game’s launch. As an avid Monster Hunter fan, I for one am excited for yet another title to launch sometime soon
