Monster Hunter Now – Season 4: Roars from the Winterwind is live!

Thursday, December 12th, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. UTC, Season 4: Roars from the Winterwind went live, this latest update to Monster Hunter Now brings a multitude of new and exciting things that people have been eagerly awaiting.

New monster additions

  • New Monsters – Volvidon, Somnacant, and Tigrex will appear on the field once you have unlocked them via the Season 4 urgent quests.
  • Some of the additional monsters will also appear outside of the new tundra habitat.
  • Lagombi will appear in the tundra habitat once you’ve completed the prologue to Season 4.
  • New Map – Tundra habitat has been added to Monster Hunter now, they have made some adjustments to large monsters that appear in the pre-season story and new gathering points have also been added.

Updates to existing monsters

Now that Season 4 has begun, some monsters will temporarily stop appearing out in the field. However, it’s possible to unlock them once more by completing urgent quests that will occur in the new Season 4 story quest lines.

Monsters that will temporarily disappear from the field:

Radobaan, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, Odogaron, Zinogre, Basarios, Khezu, Mizutsune, Magnamalo, Rajang, Black Diablos, Pink Rathian, Azure Rathalos, Coral Pukei-Pukei, Nightshade Paolumu

Monsters that you will temporarily be unable to specify in the Monster Tracker:

Radobaan, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, Odogaron, Basarios, Khezu, Magnamalo

*Zinogre, Mizutsune, Rajang, Black Diablos, Pink Rathian, Azure Rathalos, Coral Pukei-Pukei, and Nightshade Paolumu will appear on the field in low numbers once unlocked in urgent quests.

Switch Axe released!

Switch Axe is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited as a Switch Axe main. This weapon type lets you switch skillfully between two modes: the long-reaching Axe mode and the fast-attacking Sword mode.

To celebrate the addition of the Switch Axe to Monster Hunter Now, they’ve prepared Switch Axe Training Quests, available for a limited time only!

New Palico Features!

Hunters will now have their own customizable Palico to assit with gathering materials and marking monsters out in the field! Customize your Palico’s fur color, facial features and even finally name them! You can even take AR photos with them as well!

New Feature: Friend Cheering!

A new cheer function has been added that allows you to send encouragement to your friends. Each cheer received from a friend will temporarily increase maximum heath for the day by 1 (Max of +10).
Cheers can be sent to a maximum of 10 friends per day.

Updates to Loadouts

Equipment loadouts have now doubled! We now have 20 equipment loadouts to set up instead of the original 10. Plus driftsmelting skills are now saved to loadouts as well.

Season Supply Items

From Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. (UTC), you’ll be able to add an additional 250 slots with the Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item in the shop!
