Wham, Banned, Thank You Bamford For Cheating
I think Epic has taken the most extreme measures in handling a cheater in recent times. They filed a lawsuit against Morgan “RepulseGod” Bamford, a pro player caught cheating in the previous FNCS tournament. They not only reclaimed the winnings but also donated them to the Child’s Play Charity. An apology YouTube video went up in regard to the outcome and was publicly shared on X above.
I already said this was extreme, but I still find it fair. Someone was ruining the opportunity for numerous others trying legitimately to gain a spot. Truthfully, I think the previous big win against cheating was when Bungie and Ubisoft went after the real threat. Decisions like this seem like they’re going out of their way for profit. I agree, looking out for themselves in a small window. Overall, I feel this is a much-needed action. Do you think the industry should be more aggressive with these situations or find a more lenient answer?
