Spider-Man 2 for PC

Swing into your chair’s it’s a review

It’s finally time. I’ve been a longtime fan of Spider-Man. My first experience was a stash of comics in the closet of my Grandparents house. I looked at the pictures a good bit, and soon after had discovered the animation. It took a good few years for me to really understand the comic aspect. But going forward, I was a fan of the quick wit banner he’d drop on his foes. The interesting villains he’d fight. I was a fan. I remember the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation games.

From side scroll web slinging to some more early open world attempts. Then Sony finally announced the revival back in E3 2016. The hype and excitement were real. The game was phenomenal and more than anyone probably could have expected or hoped for. We don’t have to talk about the dlc attempt. The success brought us a small sequel, involving Miles Morales. It had a good overhaul of differences and additions from the first. Finally, the actual sequel was announced. Which was released on PlayStation consoles. Finally, the PC master race gets their fill.

A lot of concern surrounding Spider-Man 2 on PC was the graphical overhaul. It was released on PlayStation 5 as an exclusive, and all the previous titles had similar releases. Eventually released to PC years later. For SM2, I’ve read that some have gotten the graphics to the lowest settings at 720, with 30 FPS. While still looking beautiful and not losing the great experience of the game. Someone even mentioned that with that set up, it could have a potential to run on a Steam deck. This is unchecked on my end. Someone could chime in the comments below. Otherwise, if you have a powerhouse PC, you’ll be in for a great experience.

If you’ve played the previous games, you already know what to expect in playstyles. The fast-paced combos, abilities, and gadgets are all back. A handful of new ones have been added. Of course, we also get back into the swing of things. Look forward to exploring the world again, honestly one of my favorite parts of the game. For me, it’s like playing a Tony Hawk game in the sky. It’s a slice of its own life. Of course, you can approach any action with some stealth or all out brawling. It’s always been so heavy, like you’re actually in the situation itself. You get so invoked in all the actions you take. It’s exhilarating to say the least.

If you’ve followed up to the initial release or not. It’s been given that the story has a good focus on Venom’s entrance into the story so far. We’ve also known about Kraven the Hunter making themselves known. Can’t forget that all the villains we’ve gone head-to-head with previously make appearances again. Finally getting the chance to face Venom and seeing that character development here. Honestly, I’d really love it if they did something similar with Venom getting a solo title. They have a lot they could go off from that point of view and directions available. It’s probably wishful thinking, but you never know.

It’s been difficult to hold my gushing love for this series in this review. For most it’s been available long enough that they may have already made up their mind if it’s of interest or not. I managed to avoid any and all spoilers up till this point. I wanted to enjoy the experience for the first time and with my own hands. It’s a perfect hero game in my opinion.

It manages to capture everything you’d like and expect of the comics, shows, and movies. This month alone, has been such a huge overhaul for the Spider-Man fans. We first got Marvel Rivals, where we can swing into action. The new animated show just released its first couple episodes. Then to finish off strong, we got the release for PC. A small plug, I saw some mention that due to the PC release. Marvel Rivals has released a package including the main costume from Spider-Man 2. Along with some other goods.
